Vol 25

Go-To Newsletter for GTM Operators.

Template of the Week 📕

The break-up email - this is the final message in a cold outreach sequence that closes the loop with honesty, wit, and control. Rather than begging for attention, it re-frames persistence as proof of diligence and turns transparency into a persuasive device.

What we’re pitching: Cold email services.

Example:

Brett – this is it, the final email before I wave the white flag.

I'm trying to sell you cold email services. And yes, this is the sixth message I've sent you.

Throughout this sequence I've dug up details about your role, years in role, company, CEO, target market, industry trends, competitors, industry, business type, sales experience, and outreach strategies.

Now picture that same detective work aimed at businesses drowning in debt who need DebtStream's digital recovery solutions.

Cold emails that actually convert prospects into customers.

Want me to prove it by creating a few DebtStream-specific templates before I disappear? Just reply "yes".

Otherwise, keep those collections flowing!

Tutorial of the Week 🏫

Tool of the Week ⚙️

What it does? They set up Google email accounts for your domains so you can start sending cold emails at scale. What we call an inbox provider.

Why we love it? We send over 500k emails per month. We’ve tested 15+ inbox providers, spanning all the key categories (Google, Outlook & SMTP). And Premium Inboxes is the most solid. Highest deliverability. Super reliable service. Now responsible for supplying 80% of our email infrastructure.

Tip of the Week 💡

Most “rules” about cold email are outdated. After sending over a million a month, here’s what still holds true:

  • You can talk about yourself - if it builds credibility.

  • You won’t burn your TAM - most people never notice your email. You should hit your TAM once per 4-8 weeks.

  • You can generate a lot of positive replies with zero social proof.

  • Long emails work.

  • Long sequences can work. Just ensure every step is richly personalised. You will create a very powerful compounding effect.
